Eight Frames of Wakeup Invincibility And You

Every time you get knocked down, you wake up with 8 frames of actionable invincibility, just shy of a third of a second.


The time that Wargreymon flashes represents time he can act with full invincibility.

While invincibile, you can't get hit or thrown by any attack obviously (but you can hit and throw them!), but you can also walk right through your opponent.

If you're familar with the term "okizeme", forget about it. You cannot attempt to attack your opponent just as they stand up from knockdown, because they can always use their wake up invincibility to get away, forcing a reset to neutral. They can also counter attack, or block (and then counter attack).

If you ever find yourself up against a good player and you get knocked down, just remember that their pressure is completely fake: you're invincibile!
